- Given its age the case is in excellent overall condition but with some minor surface nicks/scratches. These can be removed but we deliberately left the watch unpolished and its original condition.
- Between 1945 and 1970, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm were issued with Lemania chronograph wrist watches. Lemania chronographs for the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm were for instance issued to Navy pilots stationed on aircraft carriers like HMS Ark Royal. The case back engraving on this watch is its NSN (Nato Stock Number): 0552/920-3305 together with individual issue number 75080.
- HMS Ark Royal (91) was the first British purpose built aircraft carrier launched in 1938. She was sunk by the German U-boat U-81 in 1941.
- HMS Ark Royal (R089) was an Audacious -Class fleet aircraft carrier. She was launched in 1950 and was broken up in 1980.
- HMS Ark Royal (R07) is an Invincible-Class aircraft carrier, launched in 1971. Originally due to be retired in 2016, Ark Royal was instead decommissioned on Friday 11 March 2011
