  • Original Glass
  • Case retaining original laquer finish
  • Original Strap (1 rivet replaced,1 missing)
    • Luftwaffe Beobachtungsuhr issued by the German Air Ministry during World War II to Air Crews for specific long range flying missions. Unusually good condition for wartime watch with exceptionally crisp dial. Original glass slightly scratched. With the outbreak of W.W.II the German Air Ministry (Reichsluftfahrtministerium) recognized the need for an efficient observer watch (Beobachtungsuhr) to be used for astronomical navigation, assisting crews of long range flying missions. Brass case with thick nickel-silver plated finish. Supply contract number FL 23883 on side of case. Outstanding example of Lange Observers watch with gilt movement.
